If you are new to the city, studying here for a year or visiting family, a night out that does not depend on your Hebrew is worth knowing about. KBOX is a set of private karaoke rooms in Givat Shaul, a short drive from the city entrance. The song system, the website and the booking flow all work in English, and the room is yours alone, so nobody hears you but your friends.

What it costs
Per person per hour, dropping every extra hour. A couple for two hours: 200 ILS. Six friends for two hours: 450 ILS, 75 each. Ten people for two hours: 650 ILS, 65 each. Pay on site by card or cash; foreign cards are accepted. Bring your own food and drinks for free, alcohol included; kosher snacks and soft drinks are sold on site. Getting here
3 Shatner Street, Givat Shaul, opposite the Israel Post branch. Turn off Kanfei Nesharim Street; about a 5-minute drive from the city entrance. Free private parking. From the Central Bus Station take bus 74, 75, 67 or 54 along Kanfei Nesharim. Ground floor, fully wheelchair accessible.
Hours and Shabbat
Sunday to Wednesday 18:00 to 00:00, Thursday 18:00 to 01:00, Friday 10:00 to 15:00. We keep Shabbat and Jewish holidays and open on Saturday night about two hours after Shabbat ends; the exact time is shown in the booking system. That makes Saturday night one of the best evenings for a group that is free at the same time.
